The Check 21 Act requires that every institution must implement certain changes to be in compliance with the new federal law.
Check 21 Implementation Video is primarily designed to assist financial institutions with their in-house training in preparation for the new federal law that becomes effective October 28, 2004.
The video is an information-packed, 45 minute, self-contained, training session. It is subdivided into 9 chapters allowing the viewer to easily replay selected topics thus promoting and reinforcing learning. These chapters are:

Listen in on the conversation between two industry experts as they discuss Check 21 and what every institution must do to comply with Check 21 requirements. The presenters are:

These and other ECCHOTM officers have been involved in Check 21 since early 2000. In the process they influenced the Federal Reserve's (Fed's) proposed legislation prior to submission to Congress, worked with Congress to modify and enhance the bill, lobbied for its enactment, testified before two congressional subcommittees, participated in the presidential signing ceremony, coordinated a group of 60 industry organizations to evaluate and comment of the Fed's proposed Regulation CC Subpart D and provided almost 100 Check 21 educational presentations across the industry.
ECCHOTM (Electronic Check Clearing House Organization) in conjunction with the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) and the Southwest Automated Clearing House Association (SWACHA) have developed the Check 21 Implementation Video. The CD includes two major components. The first is a 45 minute video to assist banks with their implementations of Check 21 and the second is a text document (Check 21 Implementation Handout) to reinforce and supplement the information on the video. The Handout can be printed for easy distribution and review. No additional software is needed to view the video from your computer's CD drive or to print the Handout.
